Venice Music Museum
Venice has always been an important center for violin and instrument makers. Therefore, this music museum focuses heavily on liuteria (violin making) and the construction of musical instruments in general.

A friend was there and provided us with her photos. We haven't been there ourselves yet, so there's no review.

What is there
to see?
Venice has long been a centre for violin and instrument making, and this music museum (located inside the church Chiesa San Maurizio) focuses heavily on lutherie — the art of crafting string instruments.
The most significant period was the 18th century, when the Cremonese school was established and became a lasting reference point for string instrument construction.
There is a permanent exhibition on Antonio Vivaldi and his time, showcasing a remarkable collection of violins. Part of the collection is displayed in the church nave, creating a unique and atmospheric setting.
Chiesa San Maurizio
A bit of History
The San Maurizio Church dates back to the 7th century and was originally dedicated to Saint Lazarus. After a fire in 1105, it was rebuilt and rededicated to Saint Maurice — a familiar “change of patron saint” in Venice.
Merchant Dionisio Bellavite received permission to demolish the bell tower to build his palace, decorated by Paolo Veronese, in return for paying an annual tax to the city.
Between 1795 and 1806, the old church was demolished and rebuilt, partly by the architect of the Teatro La Fenice. Today, the church contains artworks by various painters and sculptors.
