The observation tower is located outside the center, across the canal in North Amsterdam. The free ferries will get you there safely. And then you can enjoy the view of Amsterdam from there!

Enjoy the view and, if you dare, try the swing!
The negative:
Well, not really negative, but as a "flat" city Amsterdam doesn't have big wow views ;)
Tip:
The ferry across is free and online tickets for the Lookout are necessary in summer!
