Exhibition center for art and culture
The Center de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona – short: CCCB – offers exhibitions, concerts, conferences and much more about contemporary culture.
My Rating:
The positives:
The center for contemporary culture of Barcelona regularly hosts exhibits on a variety of cultural topics, writers, photographers, or video artists. Among them are many interesting & famous ones with English descriptions, too.
The negatives:
Some other exhibitions, on the other hand, are made for nationals only – with texts only in Spanish or Catalan. Be sure to keep my exhibition tips in mind for more information on this topic!

A bit of history
The CCCB – Center de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona – is a public consortium under the Provincial Council and the Barcelona City Council. The CCCB organizes and produces exhibitions, discussions, festivals and concerts, courses and lectures.
It encourages artistic research and generates debate and reflection on the subject of the city and the public sphere, as well as other current affairs.
The CCCB does not really have its stock of works of art, as museums have, but is an exhibition house that regularly presents different exhibitions.
