FUNDACIÓ FRAN DAUREL
modern art
A modern art museum with a sculpture garden. You will find lesser-known artists here, but also here and there a Picasso, Miró or Tàpies. The museum is located in the Poble Espanyol – the so-called “Spanish Village” in Barcelona.
My Rating:
The positives:
Two museums for the price of one – after all, the Fundació is located inside of the Poble Espanyol, but you only pay for admission once.
The negatives:
You really do have to like contemporary art to enjoy this. On the other hand, while you’re there, you might as well take a look...

to see?
The Fran Daurel Foundation is located inside the Poble Espanyol complex. So, if you want to visit the Spanish Village, you should take a look inside the museum! You’ll find modern and contemporary art there. Most of the represented artists are Catalan, and they include such names as Dali, Miró, Tapies, and Picasso. In total, the foundation has 300 works by 80 artists to show for, made up of a mixture of sculptures, paintings, ceramics, and sketches.
The Sculpture Park is also part of the museum, it can be found inside the Poble Espanyol.
