Cinecitta World
rome amusement park
Cinecittà World
This amusement park has fast roller coasters, scary horror houses and water rides! A main street, animations and much more! Fun for the whole family!
My rating:
The Positives:
There is something for everyone: for big and small and for old and young ...
The Negatives:
It is virtually impossible to reach the theme park without a car. (Travel time by car from Rome 30-40 minutes).
Tip:
Avoid public holidays!
Because on these days, the Romans also rush to the Action Park. During the week, there's less going on and you'll find shorter waiting times.

Tips in advance
It’s worth booking in advance! But beware: the online ticket from Get Your Guide is only a voucher that has to be exchanged for an admission ticket at the ticket office. This ticket is then used to enter the amusement park – depending on which day of the week you are there, the queue varies in length. There is no skip-the-line ticket for admission to Cinecittà World. So it’s all quite classic on a first-come, first-served basis.
The amusement park opened in 2014 and has been thrilling hundreds of people (whether locals or tourists) ever since! Unlike many other amusement parks, however, Cinecittà World is not open every day. In the winter months, you can only enjoy the wild roller coasters and attractions at weekends, but in the summer you can enjoy them until late at night.
Note: When you hear the term “Cinecittà”, you naturally think of the film studios. These are not to be found here! Cinecittà Studios and Cinecittà World are about 30 km away. However, the Cinecittà World amusement park also has a kind of museum with film characters and statues.
What is there
to see?
Similar to Disneyland (and quite different from the Vienna Prater), you pay a one-time entrance fee and can then use the attractions on site. Those with an annual pass can also use the “star” access to bypass the queues to the individual attractions.
Depending on the season, the park is also decorated accordingly. Especially the “Main Street” at the entrance of the site picks up the corresponding theme extremely through stage design and music. At Christmas there is a winter wonderland, children can have their faces painted … and at Halloween there are autumnal decorations, eerie background music, as well as specially engaged people in disguise who create a spooky atmosphere.
Cinecittà World is divided into different themed areas. There is a Space Land, an Adventure Land, a Water World and a Western World. There are wild roller coasters and ghost trains. You can race with Autodrom cars, shoot cans or be “shot” 60 metres into the air. There are also theatre shows or animations.
There is something for every age group (even for the smallest in the family) and every taste (whether adrenaline junkie or not) and you can easily spend the whole day here without getting bored.
